Please note that Phase 1 release update of the SmartSuite2 App does not include geotagging feature. Chemwatch is currently working on Phase 2 of the project for improvements and enhancements to the app.
The information below is in regards to the first version of SmartSuite.
Generally, geotagging is the process of adding geographical data to various media to help users find location information from the device being used. In Smartsuite, geotagging is available to identify locations of folders on google maps based on actual geographical site/area mapped to your folders.
In the folders view using SmartSuite, you will be able to see a map function on the bottom bar. This will allow you to geotag your folder to a specific location.
Monitor Folder Location
Turning this setting on will send a notification to your phone every time you are close to the geotagged folder.
Select the "Tag" to tag a location
Desired Accuracy
How accurate you want tracking to be, set your "Max Distance to Folder". The closest distance to the folder you want; the app sends you a notification.
Folder Location
Folder is tracked based on location assigned against that folder.
