Applied Controls

When the Applied Control's red switch button is selected, it changes from red to green to show that the control selected have been applied and when this occurs it means that the risk band will be recalculated based on those changes and the level rating will be displayed.

In the above example screenshot, the initial risk band for the chemical was based on the set risk assessment parameters  = 3. After turning on the red switch for Applied Control 3 (Local exhaust/Fume Hood), the system recalculates the risk band to lower the initial high risk rating to reduce the risk to a minimum = 1 in this case scenario.

Before Applied Controls are Applied

Risk Rating = 3

Recommended Controls = Rating set to 3 by default, e.g., Local exhaust/Fume Hood

Switch = Off

After Controls are applied

Risk Rating = 1

Recommended Controls = Rating set to 3 by default, e.g., Local exhaust/Fume Hood is selected and that affects the risk band calculation

Switch = ON
